Masami received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Nagoya University, where she worked in the Ohsumi lab. Prior to starting her PhD, she joined the Hornby lab and received her masters degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Sheffield. Masami joined the lab in June 2020, and is studying membrane protein biogenesis.
